A relaxed and friendly book club for women who enjoy reading and conversation

If you enjoy a good book and a chance to chat about it with others, you’d be very welcome at our TT Book Club.

We meet once a month in a relaxed setting at the Vine Centre to talk about a book we’ve all read together. It’s informal, friendly, and a great way to meet new people.

What to expect

Each month we:

• choose a book together
• read it in our own time
• then meet to chat, share thoughts, and enjoy conversation

There’s no pressure — just a welcoming space to connect, listen, and enjoy being together.

Assist: practical support when life is difficult

The Vine’s Assist project provides free and confidential one-to-one support for adults who are facing difficult circumstances.

Assist also runs wellbeing groups, including support for people living with dementia and those who care for them. If you need someone to talk to, practical help, or support finding the right next step, Assist is here to help.

The Gathering Place is a relaxed weekly wellbeing space where people can enjoy a drink, meet others and take part in activities — or simply come and be.

Everyone is welcome. There is no pressure and no need to book.

We are proud to operate the village library at the Vine Centre, providing a welcoming community space and an important local service.

Uniform Exchange

We know that the cost of school uniform can be a considerable financial pressure for families. Working with local primary and secondary schools, we distribute pre-loved uniform that is in good condition, freshly washed and free of charge.

If you would like to find out whether we have something suitable for your child, please get in touch through our dedicated Facebook group or email us. We also welcome donations of new or good-quality used uniform.

Much of this work is made possible by volunteers from the church and wider community.

Whether you can offer time regularly, help at a one-off event or simply want to find out more, we would love to hear from you.

Assist is a free and confidential service for people over 18 years of age supported by the churches in Cherry Willingham, Fiskerton and Reepham for people in the surrounding areas. We take referrals from healthcare professionals, social care agencies, voluntary organisations, relatives, friends, neighbours or you can contact us yourself. Our volunteers are formally approved, trained, trustworthy and reliable.

Times have changed with public services being cut, people working longer hours and relatives living long distances apart. We have noticed this gap and designed Assist to aid people who are going through a difficulty in their lives and would benefit from one to one support to help them regain their confidence and get back on their feet.

We often don't know what is going on in people lives. They may be suffering through bereavement or trying to tackle depression. ASSIST will also be able to support people who are experiencing other major life challenges –for example, a breakdown in family relationships or recovery following an accident or illness. We can also offer some debt advice services. If we can't help we will do our best to find someone else who can!
